Combustion Characteristics of Reed and its Suitability as Boiler Fuel

An interesting study, conducted in Estonia, looking at the viability of using reed as a fuel for boilers. Unmanaged Reed beds do become a nuisance, and can take over areas very quickly. Left to their own devices the reed beds produce a poorer quality reed which is unable to be used on a thatched roof.
